Strange light phenomena are puzzling the inhabitants of Regensburg, wrote Ingo Knott on July 18th, 2001 in the Regensburger Wochenblatt (Regensburg Weekly Paper). If you want to take a look - circles of light can be found in the Fikentscher Straße above the Wolfgangs-Apotheke, in the Simmernstraße, Hoppestraße, Am Ölberg, Bischof Wittmann - Straße and Frauendorfer Straße. They are visible when the sun is shining, says Waltraud Niedermeyer, who photographed them.

Some people are simply shaking their heads and saying: "Normal light reflections. Maybe from opposing windows." But Waltraud Niedermeyer from Regensburg says: "These are not normal reflections. These are energy dispensing rays." The calm woman who is talking with consideration has for weeks been tracking a phenomenon that doesn't let her rest - on the facades of houses in the whole city she is discovering crosses of light. She believes in a miracle.

Mrs. Niedermeyer is very sure that these rays are being sent by a spiritual teacher, the so-called "World Teacher" by the name Maitreya. He would prepare a better world and has left the Himalayas in 1988 for that purpose. Since then he supposedly lives as an ordinary citizen in an Asian community in London and works from there. Repeatedly he would appear in front of people, in June 1988 near Nairobi, Kenya, he would have been photographed as he appeared in front of thousands of people.

Mrs. Niedermeyer has the photo which has appeared in a magazine which she has subscribed to - "The Emergence" - and this name is a program for her; "In the whole world miracles are increasing", she says. The crosses of light are "intended to draw people's attention" - as in the poor districts of Mexico were similar crosses of light have been seen and photographed at first. Naturally she picked up her camera when she discovered such crosses of light in her vicinity.

Since she has initially seen them a few weeks ago and feels confirmed in her believe: "The world is on the threshold of a change." She is happy, but not hysterical - anyhow Maitreya's teaching would call for people to continue living and working and fulfilling their function in their community. About the state of things as she sees them, she keeps informed in magazines, exchanges with her friends who currently are also tracking the crosses of light - Pfarrergasse, in the Fikentscher Straße, above the Wolfgangs-Apotheke (pharmacy), in the Simmernstraße, in the Bischof Wittmann-Straße, in the Frauendorfer Straße. There would be so many in Regensburg that one could not deny their existence.

In the meantime Maitreya has supposedly confirmed these signs: yes, they are coming from him. Every evening when the sun is shining, they could be seen - between 7.00 and 7.30 pm they would be best visible according to Mrs. Niedermeyer. She continues to hope - for better times.
