Closing Nuclear Reactors and Discovering New Energies

Interview with a Master of Wisdom through Benjamin Creme by Patricia Pitchon

During a wide-ranging discussion I had with Mr Creme on 4 August 1994 about major problems of land, air and sea pollution, Mr Creme’s Master kindly agreed to answer questions on these topics. The Master underlined the urgency of dealing with dangerous
nuclear reactors as an absolute priority. He also provided a fascinating picture of forthcoming discoveries.

Currently the nuclear industry in various parts of Western Europe is promoting itself as the clean form of energy. The main problems, however, refer to storage. Nuclear reactors in the major industrialized countries now operating or being built will produce thousands of cubic metres of high-level waste. The problem of a long-term repository for high-level wastes remains unsolved.

High-level wastes are stored in stainless steel tanks, but there have been leaks. A process to solidify waste in glass (vitrification) is being studied, but the danger is that the glass blocks may disintegrate later on. As for underground sites, the search for stable geological sites has not been successful, and we cannot predict future geological movements; earthquakes mean there are no guarantees. Intermediate and low-level wastes are buried in shallow grounds in the US and in the UK, but in the US three sites were closed down several years ago due to contamination. Low level waste has also been dumped into the sea.

This panorama is made infinitely worse by the fact that in Eastern Europe the dangers multiply with a large number of ageing and dangerous nuclear reactors. The entrepreneur Edward Goldsmith estimated in a recent book that there are at least 41 disasters of the Chernobyl type waiting to happen in Eastern Europe.

Patricia Pitchon: What is the Master’s view on these dangers?

The Master: Our advice is to close down all nuclear fission reactors without delay. They are a major source of deadly pollution. Life on this planet would be utter misery were it not for the help of our Space Brothers who neutralize this pollution and render it harmless within karmic limits. Fleets of Their space ships, using implosion devices, do this on a daily basis.

PP: Within how many years does the Master think we will manage to do this?

The Master: One of the first things Maitreya will advise is the closing down of nuclear reactors and ending all representation of nuclear fission as being a more efficient way of producing energy. From the politicians’ point of view, there is power, prestige and
commercial gain from nuclear energy. The average person’s mind is confused by all the scientific jargon; his voice is not properly heard in the realms of power.

But the voice of the people is about to become more articulate: one of the many aspects of Maitreya’s mission is to act as the voice of the people, to address the problems of peace and war, and starvation in the midst of plenty; to galvanize the will of the people to force politicians to address these issues.

Government, today, is about power and the wielding of power, rather than about service. The problem is to shift the emphasis. What is required is the appearance of Maitreya, which is very imminent indeed. These questions have to be addressed by humanity itself, with Maitreya as a guide.

PP: Increasingly we are becoming aware of the hazards of toxic chemicals in the form of sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides and volatile hydrocarbons; the various sources of pollution include industry, motor vehicles, household waste, etc. What are the dangers here?

The Master: The interaction of the three types of chemical is serious; there is a poisonous relationship between them. There is even more danger to nature than to human beings — ie the trees, the plants, the soil. Even ‘organic’ vegetables are contaminated.
The water, the air we breathe, is contaminated. This is one of the greatest causes of skin rashes, eczemas and allergies. It is impossible to eat pollutant-free food.

(Benjamin Creme at this point added that there is a high rate of eczema in Japan, and much of its origin is due to fish polluted with mercury and other toxins.)

PP: What about the water itself?

The Master: Water at the moment contains much aluminium, mercury and zinc. Aluminium is a very toxic ingredient, and many people also cook in aluminium. This is a health hazard. It is the source of stomach diseases, ulcers, fatigue — a general toxic condition of the body. It is a miracle that people are not more ill; only their extraordinary resilience explains it.

PP: According to reports this summer in London, unusual summer heat combined with ozone from car emissions trapped at ground level to make the air difficult to breathe, and a recent report on Inner London schools indicates that one in every five children has asthma. Are catalytic converters which reduce the level of lead important?

The Master: Yes. In Japan, where controls are strict, there have been major improvements. Already many individuals, groups and agencies have warned and informed governments; a Master need add nothing to this. Instead of putting more and more cars on the road, public transport can be made more efficient, more regular and consistent.

In time, governments will restrict the use of cars to the countryside. A new technology will lead to a more sophisticated form of public transport which will alleviate pollution. It will be silent, apparently motionless and will vibrate very little. Travel fatigue will disappear. It will be the perfect means of transport of large numbers of people between countries and between cities.

PP: What timespan are we talking about?

The Master: Within five to 20 years, more and more sophisticated use of this technology will transform and beautify the cities. Men have not envisaged, not even in the imagination of science fiction writers (because until now there has been no blueprint), how the light of the sun will become the fuel.

This will provide the energy for all human needs. It will be clean, without waste, and there will be an inexhaustible supply to every home in every city in the world. Help is being given to scientists in Russia and in the United States by our Space Brothers.

PP: Do governments know?

The Master: Some members in both governments know.

PP: Where do the Space Brothers come from?

The Master: Most of the space vehicles are from Mars and Venus. The Martians are the greatest space engineers.

PP: I worry about the economy of countries like Nigeria, where 90 per cent of its revenue consists of oil exports. What is going to happen to countries which have been so dependent on oil, when the new solar fuel becomes available?

The Master: No one will be able to ‘corner the market’ on this technology. It will become freely available to all.

PP: What is the Master’s view about the ozone layer in the stratosphere? Is there an ozone hole over the Antarctic?

(Benjamin Creme at this point noted that Maitreya has already said that it does not exist. It is an illusion, caused by the fact that light does not stream in a direct line: imagine that you are in the dark, and there is a tennis ball. If you shine a light on it, you get the impression of a hole behind it, due to the refraction.)

The Master: There is, however, a general thinning of the ozone layer all over the earth.

At the conclusion of the interview the Master added the following:

In restoring the planet, salvation is a collective effort. Maitreya will make it clear that this is the case. I estimate that within three to five years from the moment of Maitreya’s appearance an enormous transformation will be taking place.

Starvation on the planet will be tackled: mass progress for the starving millions is the aim, and on a scale which we have never contemplated. That achieved, we will tackle the problems of the environment around us.

The top priority is the complete transformation of our mode of living towards one that is sustainable.

We will see the end of the current economy based on unbridled growth. Men everywhere will be able to eat and live and preserve the resources of the environment.

Maitreya’s Forecasts

In April 1988, a close associate of Maitreya, long established in London’s Asian community, contacted freelance journalist Patricia Pitchon. He started a series of briefings in which he presented some of Maitreya’s teachings and forecasts of world events with the view that they be published through Share International and made available to the world’s press. Later, Maitreya’s associate also made contact with another journalist who received additional information. Maitreya gives His teachings orally, and His associate conveys them to the journalists.

As regular readers will know, each article may cover a wide variety of topics ---- from a flood in Bangladesh to a lesson in Self-realization. Many of these topics recur again and again, each time adding some new information from Maitreya. For the sake of clarity, therefore, we have edited the excerpts presented here so that teachings on a particular topic are grouped and can flow together. Maitreya’s purposes in releasing this material are further to prepare humanity for His emergence and to help us understand the spiritual laws governing our lives.

The forecasts of world events included in many interviews are given out primarily to illuminate one of the most important of these spiritual laws: the Law of Cause and Effect. It is only by grasping and working within this law, Maitreya says, that we can resolve the present social, political, economic and environmental crises.

Change in the Earth's Rotation

The new energy sweeping through our world will make the land more fertile. People will experience greater health, and we shall see many diseases begin to disappear. As a result of the energy of equilibrium, people will be able to live in closer contact with nature, and there will be greater harmony between the plant, animal and human kingdoms. Destructive forces (the effects of human behavior) are being reversed in such a way that they will become constructive. Because of the greater harmony between nature and humanity, people will be happier: to disturb the environment is to disturb your own nature.

Maitreya has energized the planet and generated warmth so that enough food can be grown to meet the new demand for food grown naturally. Changes in weather patterns are already occurring and will continue as a result of the Earth’s warming. Across the globe, the days and nights will be warmer, and we shall see changes in human behavior as people spend more time resting and less time working. They will enjoy more recreational activities.

The plant and animal kingdoms will also be affected, with a number of species disappearing. We shall find that society will think in global terms, and policies will be developed globally. People will draw closer together, learning to share and live together in harmony. ‘‘Even mind, spirit and body will be changed,’’ Maitreya tells us.

Nature will respond positively in terms of new vegetation. The earth will be full of food, and no one will be able to understand the process fully. The necessities of life will be on hand. The environment will become the number one issue throughout the world. Even a few years ago, no politician took the environment seriously; now the concern is there. This growth in concern is the result of increasing Self-awareness. There is a link, Maitreya says, between the inner and the outer environment: the moment you become aware of yourself, the environment within your mind, spirit and body is under your control. This awareness then leads you to look into the outer environment.

Maitreya says that a decisive change has occurred in the rate of the Earth’s rotation. The speed of the Earth’s revolution has slowed. As a consequence, the forces surrounding the planet have been made to slow down. These are not ‘blind’ forces but the effects of man’s activities.

Das Observatorium von Greenwich hat bestätigt, dass Ende Juli [1988] eine Verlangsamung [der Erdrotation] festgestellt worden ist, wie Maitreya bereits bekanntgab. Neueren Forschungsergebnissen zufolge trägt die Sonne zur globalen Erwärmung bei.
Nach Informationen der NASA habe die Sonnenstrahlung nach 1979 jedes Jahrzehnt um 0,05 Prozent zugenommen, was im Widerspruch zu der Annahme vieler Forschern steht, dass die Sonnenaktivität in den vergangenen dreißig Jahren kaum nennenswert gestiegen sei.
Die Sonnenstrahlung, so die NASA-Wissenschaftler, habe vom 18. Jahrhundert bis etwa 1950 beträchtlich zugenommen, womit die globale Erwärmung in dieser Periode erklärt werden könne. Im allgemeinen ging man bislang davon aus, dass die globale Erwärmung seit 1950 größtenteils auf den Menschen zurückzuführen sei, doch diese Vorstellung könnte sich durch die NASA-Erkenntnisse deutlich wandeln.
Neben der globalen Erwärmung könnte - nach den NASA-Wissenschaftlem - die stärkere Sonnenstrahlung auch die ultraviolette Strahlung erhöht, zum Klimawandel und zur Veränderung der chemischen Zusammensetzung der Erdatmosphäre beigetragen haben. (Quelle: Aftenposten 2003, Norwegen)

This momentous event occurred at the end of July 1988, and will result in decisive changes, both in the short term and the long term, in the Earth’s atmosphere, in the air, on land and in the seas. Some have already begun. This can be understood as the ‘turn of the wheel’ which marks the end of an era (that is, the Piscean age) and the beginning of a new era (Aquarius). ‘‘The wheel governs all creation. When it turns, no one can escape transformation.’’ Naturally, this process will occur gradually during the whole Aquarian cycle, but some changes are imminent and observable.

This ‘end of an age’ inevitably produces a certain number of natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, and we are seeing a dramatic climax in the number of disasters taking place around the world. All this energy has been released because of man’s inhumanity to man. The greed of those in power has condemned their fellows and nature itself. The environment has been polluted and has reacted. Maitreya says: ‘‘The last time I came, as Jesus, it was written in the Bible that when I appeared again the very elements of nature would be disturbed.’’

Human suffering during this process of adjustment is inevitable, but in suffering, the destructive forces are released from their natural pattern and dissipated. Anything which operates by imposition of force will not survive.

This period is not, however, one of cataclysmic destruction. This ‘adjustment’ is a matter of degree, and the portents of doom generally offered are exaggerated. Maitreya points out that when disasters occur on an international scale, people await a ‘second coming’. But, He says, ‘‘The Lord has been here since the morning of time. When I am with you, there is no question of a second, third or fourth coming.’’ When there is a calamity, He continues, the Lord is always with the soul. He gives it strength, comfort and bliss at that time, although with our minds we perceive only suffering. In crises, people will be brought closer together and will help each other.

Through our own free will we can lessen distress by responding with alacrity to human need. After the disasters have peaked, there will come a period of calm ---- the violence and destruction will come to an end. As people gain awareness, their guilt will recede and they will realize that it is not the Self that is causing all this mayhem. This has been created by an outside force of destructive energy which has sucked them into the storm of chaos and confusion. The new feeling will be like rising in the small hours of the early dawn when you are surrounded by a sense of tranquility and calm. Maitreya points out that these are not predictions, but the fulfillment of law.
