It will only be a matter of a few weeks, then the Christ will return to the earth. Ulf Cronsnest and Memo Neupert believe this very firmly. With a self-evidence as if they would tell nothing else but the time of day, they are speaking about a "Golden Age" coming soon in which there would be no wars, no hunger and no unemployment.

They are very certain, finally there would be those "mysterious light signs" on houses. A phenomenon which first appeared in the USA, later in Asia, Africa and now also in Europe. They have also been seen in Berlin and Southern Germany. And now for the first time in Hamburg! Cronsnest's proof: a film. On the pictures is a surprise: A few houses near the street corner Steilshooper Allee/Ellernreihe and on the facades clearly visible are circles with a cross in the middle. "Every day they can be seen on the same spot", says Cronsnest. "Provided that the sun is shining." Near the signs one could feel a pleasant energy.

All only a fake? Cronsnest is upset: "I swear this is no manipulation." An then he explains that just like the bleedings Madonna statues and the crop circles the light signs would be hints - a reference to the upcoming return of the Christ who will present himself to humanity.

A poor lunatic? Mr. Cronsnest does not make such an impression. The 49-year old talks about his life: About his economics study which he finished with moderate success, about his apprenticeship as wholesale and retail trade merchant, about long years of unemployment and jobs as representative for pots, pans, windows and roll shutters. And finally he is speaking about overcoming a deep life crisis five to six years ago - with the help of a woman by the name Memo Neupert and her meditation group.

Memo Neupert is is the 72 year old widow of a Hamburgian medical superintendent. She is not an unknown person. Much has been written about her, i.e. in the magazine "bella" about "women who save our planet". And indeed Memo Neupert has undergone enormous efforts with her society "FŸreinander e.V." (For one another) in order to help orphan children in Africa.

This woman does not make the impression of a lunatic at all. She talks about Karma, about miracles, about energy centres in the body and about Masters. She says that 18 years ago she met Benjamin Creme in London who claims to have direct telepathic contact with a Master. Directly after this "destined meeting" with the now 80 year old British man she has founded a "Transmission group" in Hamburg. Today she is still part of Cremes world-wide network "Share International".

"Maitreya", I get to know from her, is none other than the Christ. In 1977 he manifested a body for himself, left his retreat in the Himalyas and supposedly lives hidden in London today.

Sometimes he would appear somewhere. Suddenly. As happened in June 1988 near Nairobi. And while she hands me the photo which shows Maitreya, Memo Neupert says that this man with the Jesus glance has personally appeared to her once. When she was on her way to a healing well in the town Nordenau (Sauerland), he suddenly sat beside her in the car. She is smiling a little embarrassed at least.

Memo Neupert is convinced that the light signs are supposed to prepare humanity for the upcoming return of Maitreya. She doesn't let count scientific explanations that this phenomenon would be caused by light refractions, reflections from opposing windows on the facades. "All nonsense."
